Payments & Fees
Payment can be made in cash or you may choose to pay through EFTPOS & Credit Card facility. Payment must be made at the time of the session. You will receive an invoice for this payment via email that can be used for health fund and Medicare claims. HICAPS is not available at our clinic.
Clients that are self-managed under NDIS must pay at the time of the appointment.
Clients that are plan managed via NDIS are sent an invoice and payment must be made before the next session.
All prior sessions must have been paid for before any new sessions may be booked.
Perth Speech Therapy will only see clients once the payment has been made. Please do not hesitate to contact the clinic for costing of therapy.
At Perth Speech Therapy all fees can be claimed through a private health fund. However, rebates will depend on the health cover that you hold. We encourage you to contact your health provider to determine your level of cover.
The clinic is also registered with Medicare.
Medicare – Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Items
Perth Speech Therapy is registered with Medicare (under the Allied Health Initiative). This allows speech pathology services to be accessed by those who meet the Medicare requirements. A General Practitioner (GP) Management Plan under The Chronic Disease Management (CDM) initiative entitles eligible recipients to up to 5 sessions with a Speech Pathologist. This is available once during a calendar year. A GP is responsible for determining whether an individual is eligible to receive a CDM Plan. You will need to see your GP as to whether you qualify. Your GP will be required to complete all paperwork before you can commence with therapy.
All sessions provided by Perth Speech Therapy will need to be paid in full. After an invoice is sent you can use the paid invoice to make your claims.
Please be aware that CDM items do incur a gap payment. The rebate is approximately $53 from Medicare. You will be responsible for making the gap payment.
Cancellation
Due to the long wait list of clients requiring services, cancellations need to be made no less than 24 hours prior to the appointment. A 50% cancellation fee will apply if you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before the booked time. If the cancellation is made on the same day as your appointment, a 100% cancellation fee applies.
Privacy
Perth Speech Therapy values and respects your privacy. If you do not wish to be contacted through emails, please ensure you inform the clinician. If you do not attend the session personally, please inform the practice as to how you wish to be contacted. All personal information s stored in a secure holding.
All information gathered from you, and information collated from assessments is completed with the aim to assess, diagnose and treat your child. As some family situations are difficult, all information will be kept private unless written consent is provided for information to be shared. If other professionals are involved with your child, information will be shared only after consent is given. Only the most relevant information will then be relayed. All staff employed by Perth Speech Therapy are required to respect and keep confidential all client’s personal information.
